We all have friends and relatives who have a fear of new technology. They shy away from any of the latest gadgets because they percieve them as being complicated. And on the face of it, it seems all very confusing partly because of the technical and terminology used to describe the latest innovations. There are some people who will not consider buying any of the new gadgets because of the techno-fear factor. There are still some people who refuse to possess everyday gadgets such as a mobile phone, which in todays world of gadgets seem preposterous. However, it has to be said that because they were totally designed by geeks, previous generation gadgets sometimes lacked the human factor The latest gadgets seem to offer more simplistic controls. Thought has gone into menu systems and with LCD screens now being incorporated into almost every new gadget that reaches the market, informative instructions laid out logically can more often than not guide even a novice through the multitude of functions. That said, the latest gadgets for men certainly have ever more technological options built in. However what the designers and testers have been able to do is keep the basic required technology ‘on the surface’ and leave the mass of options relevant to the initiated sitting behind One classic example is the iPod. This gadget has been a market leader for many years now. Its controls look so simple, almost too simple, but what this means is that even a technophobe will not be put off. The very latest gadgets such as mobile phones are all going for touch screen technology. Touch screen has been seen in shopping centers and Doctors surgeries for a while now, so all generations have had chance to try it out. The advantage is more visual screen icons because we all know that a picture or a symbol can take the place of many words Electronic gadgets are getting smarter.
