New Gadgets Seem To Be A Must For Holidays These Days

Gadgets have added to the list of things that we take on holiday with us. Imagine that you were going on holidays in the early 1970’s. During that period in history the majority of the great British public would have been taking vacation at local resorts because travel overseas for holidays was fairly expensive. It wasn’t really until Sony introduced the Walkman that we had a gadget to take away with us other than maybe a camera and even these were fairly old-fashioned in that they took photographs onto film and had mechanical wind for the film. When the CD was introduced, suddenly we had music in a digital format. This started the change that has turned into a revolution. The next new gadget for holiday after the Walkman was the Portable CD Player. At last it was possible to listen to your favourite tunes in clear crackle-free audio whilst lazing by the pool or on the beach

The next new gadget into the suitcase was the video camera. These really started to be affordable at the beginning of the 1990’s and now are part of everyone’s holiday bag. On top of keeping us entertained we have useful gadgets such as a battery fan to keep us cool, travel iron and travel kettles. What ladies suitcase would be complete these days without the latest grooming gadgets such as compact hairdryer and hair straighteners? Add to these the latest new gadgets for entertainment such as iPods or MP3’s, Portable DVD Players and now MP4 players, game consoles for everyone and who can forget that everybody has a certain gadget namely the mobile phone

These days we spend more time taking holiday abroad, so it is unsurprising that there are strict controls on the weight of suitcases, because with more gixmos than ever fitting the bill, new gadgets have to be top of the holiday check list.  Sunshine and a sandy beach for women...gadgets for men !
