So first there was the iPod (not too mention it's 'children') and the world went Apple crazy, iTunes was launched and music was changed forever.

Then came the iPhone and the phrase that will be uttered for years to come "there's an app for that". With the iPhone Apple revolutionised touch screen technology and turned the iPhone into a Swiss army phone with the addition of the App Store to iTunes.

This Summer the world has been taken by storm thanks to Apple’s latest release, The iPad. The iPad is the compilation of the knowledge gained from both the iPod Touch and the iPhone pooled into one amazing piece of kit. The iPad is basically a giant iPod Touch with 3G Internet and wireless capabilities, whilst incorporating some of Apples most powerful micro-processing technology allowing the iPad to operate multiple apps with unparalleled ease. Now I know I sound like an Apple sales man here but trust me when I say this is, without a doubt, one of the greatest gadgets Apple have ever produced.

The the release of the iPad, Apple seem to have placed themselves at the top of the media market with the Apple share price raising solidly for the past 3 years. With even some of the latest computer games being made to be played on a Mac, it would seem that Apple are looking to enter into the Gaming section of the media market. Such a move would see stiff competition from existing market leaders Microsoft and Sony but, if successful, would surly cement them as the true media and personal technology leaders in the world.
